TRAVEL INFORMATION
From abroad, participants must take a plane to Maceió or Recife airport and afterwards take ground transportation to the Symposium site. From either of these airports, the “Salinas do Maragogi” Resort is accessible by a well paved route, approximately 2 hours drive.
A link to a tour operator site that will provide the transfer of the participants on a scheduled basis will be soon provided in this site. Costs will not be included in the registration fee.
For those who want to have a pleasant drive through beautiful landscapes several car rental companies offer their services at the lounge of each airport. However difficulties with English language must be expected, mainly after leaving the airport.
For those who want to try a drive, it is advisable to arrive in the morning at least one day before the Symposium beginning (November the 18th). It is not advisable to drive by yourself during the night to the Symposium site. A link with the route to reach the Symposium site will be available soon in this site.
The Symposium site is also reachable by bus (Bus company - Real Alagoas (0800-61-0300)). However, after arriving, the participant must take a taxi from the airport to the bus station of either Maceió or Recife, which are far from the Airports. This option is highly non-recommendable for non-Portuguese speaking participants due to expected difficulties in communication.

Please verify the validity of your passport. It must still valid more than 6 months at the date of your entrance in Brazil.
